When the dance began, other law enforcement officers quietly took part:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jones began the dance,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Then one officer tapped Kirsten\u2019s shoulder, asked, \u201cCan I cut in?\u201d,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>He was followed by others\u2014three more Pierce County deputies took turns dancing with her,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The gesture left her in tears, and guests were overwhelmed by the collective tribute.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Kirsten later recalled:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cCan you believe it? He said, \u2018there\u2019s a whole line of us.\u2019 And right as he said that is when the next officer cut in and I just broke down.\u201d<br>\u201cThere wasn\u2019t a dry eye in the room\u2026 it was the best wedding surprise ever.\u201d<br>\u201cPeople need to know that their family\u2019s lives go on\u2026but they\u2019re still affected by it every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Photographer <strong>Angela Lyons<\/strong> described the moment as one of the most powerful she\u2019d ever witnessed: a photographer herself through tears, knowing the level of meaning behind that dance sequence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Legacy, Resilience &amp; Law Enforcement Family<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Kirsten described the scene as the <strong>\u201cbest wedding surprise ever\u201d<\/strong>, noting that the presence of her father\u2019s colleagues felt real and comforting. It reinforced that though her father was gone, the support of the law enforcement community remained steadfast .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her journey, deeply tied to her father\u2019s passion for service, inspired her own ambitions\u2014she later pursued becoming a deputy herself, determined to carry forward his values and help others as he did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Final Reflections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When Kent Mundell was taken so young, Kirsten was just a teenager grappling with unimaginable grief.
