The Horslips

The Horslips

Horslips are an Irish Celtic rock band formed in 1970, known for blending traditional Irish music with rock. They gained fame with concept albums like The Táin and The Book of Invasions, inspired by Irish mythology. Though not hugely commercial during their initial run, they’re regarded as pioneers of Celtic rock, influencing bands like U2 and The Pogues. Horslips disbanded in 1980 but reunited for select shows until 2012.Read more >
